Barbara is a Physician Assistant who joined Pacific Pain Physicians in 2016. She began her education at University of California at Santa Barbara and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Psychology. She returned to school and obtained an Associate of Science degree and was licensed by the American Physical Therapy Board as a Physical Therapist Assistant since 1997. She worked in the inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility and home health settings throughout the years. Barbara pursued her specialized training from the Wound Care Education Institute and was Wound Care Certified by the National Alliance of Wound Care in 2005. She has a passion for healing and an insatiable drive for knowledge which motivated her to return to graduate school at Pacific University in Oregon where she was awarded a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She became board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and returned to the Santa Barbara area in 2016. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the California Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Santa Barbara Medical Society.
